Aloha Trainers:
We hope that you're all doing well! We wanted to send you this email to remind you that participants in your HSTA Fall 2017 course must submit their portfolios to you by November 23, 2017.
While the COURSE END DATE is December 21, we ask that you have all portfolios submitted to you on Thursday, November 23, so that you have time to grade and get revisions back. On Thursday, December 7th, you will need to enter the final grades into PDE3 (complete or incomplete).
No extensions will be permitted on portfolios. If a participant does not complete the portfolio appropriately or on time, please give him or her an incomplete.

Aloha HSTA PD Trainers:
We hope your school year is going well! You are receiving this email because you are all scheduled to teach or are currently teaching a HSTA section this Fall 2017. While we had a few staffing changes this summer, HSTA wants to assure you that we have dedicated staff and teacher leaders ready to assist you with any questions that you may have regarding the administration of your HSTA courses. Please send any questions that you have directly to Yvette Robertson, yrobertson@hsta.org or contact her directly at 840-2229.
The Spring 2017 class schedule for HSTA is still being finalized. Thank you for being patient. As some of you may know, the course/section approval process for PDE3 classes has moved FROM the Office of Human Resources (OHR) TO the Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Student Support (OCISS). We are meeting with the new OCISS staff next week, and as such, will provide you with an update then about Spring 2017. We will surely miss Soo Boo and Kevin at OHR and want to thank them again for all the help they've provided over the years.
General Reminders:
- The Fall 2017 portfolios are all due on the memorable date of Thursday, November 23rd, 2017 (aka Thanksgiving). Obviously, you can pick an earlier date to require portfolios to be sent to you,.
- Grades need to be inputted into PDE3 no later than Thursday, December 7th. Once you submit the grades, names of selected participants will pop up. You will email those selected portfolios to a staff person at PDE3 (TBD at this point and time due to changes)
- If your course hasn't started yet, please email your Wait-Lists on PDE3 to remind individuals to pay for your courses. They must pay at pd.hsta.org. Late registration/payments will not be accepted. Based off of your feedback, we now allow individuals to pay and register for a course up to 24 hours prior to the start date of the course. They need to add themselves to the wait list on PDE3, pay for the section on pd.hsta.org. Once HSTA receives the payment, we will move them from the wait-list on PDE3 to registered on PDE3.

- We will be hosting a brief virtual trainers' meeting to go over some of these administrative tasks in the month ahead, so please don't worry right now if you have questions on these items.
