In this week's learning, we focus on integrating technology to promote critical thinking and creativity. The lesson's slides present various ways to use technology in the classroom and transform the lessons through the empowerment of students voice to promote student-centered learning. We are introduced to the SAMR framework. Substitute, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition (SAMR) is a model developed by Dr. Ruben Puentedura to supports and enables teachers to design, develop, and infuse digital learning experiences that utilize technology. In this course, we use SAMR framework to evaluate the technology integration in the Transformative Lesson. In addition to transformative learning, internet safety and digital citizenship are essential in building healthy and safe online communities. As you explore this week's resources, keep in mind that as part of the course requirements you will need to plan and implement 1) a transformative lesson plan and 2) an internet safety/digital citizenship lesson plan.
